Mary is a unique scented candle: it pays homage to a modern icon, Mary Shelley, mother and author of Frankenstein, by recalling her name.
Iconoclast of her time, Mary Shelley denounced the values of a hypocritical 19th century English society.
An emancipated woman, she married a poet and together they traveled through Europe. Inevitably, Shelley fought the establishment and chose adventure as her guiding beacon.
The Mary perfume is theatrical, with a luminous depth: floral and spicy notes of helichrysum, tuberose, star anise and cardamom suggest nonconformist journeys, which an intoxicating heart composed of patchouli, cedar, guaiac wood further transgresses.
Mary is a subversive perfume: the testament of a rich inner life, it reveals the life of a cursed heroine.
Limited edition, the Mary scented candle is presented in an opaque black glass, inside a box adorned with gold embossed: Gothic illustrations by Lawrence Mynott depicting Mary Shelley holding an exquisite corpse. made for the first time in 1925, in Paris, which consists in having several people compose a drawing by folding or covering the sheet in the already completed parts).
